My name is Rosie, or Hong Nhung – my given Vietnamese name, which literally means red rose. I consider myself very fortunate to have been born in the 80s (and growing up in the 90s) when life was much easier and simpler back then. There was no such thing as social media, memories were truly shared and enjoyed. Music was good, and most songs had feel-good vibes that I liked.

I was born in a loving family, with both set of grandparents whom I was very close with. They were accountant, engineer, professor/economist, doctor in their prime, and that alone has always made me feel inadequate. Imagining growing up in war time where it was the matter of life and death everyday, they managed to excel and contribute greatly.

I have always been a loner. I’ve not done much in my life. But if there’s one thing I like about myself is that I LOVE writing. I did very well at school with languages. I wish I had pursued a career of a professional writer earlier. I love to write! My favorite memories growing up are when I was sitting still on my first computers composing stories, writing in my diaries, sharing my writings with my beloved and being recognized for my writings. I created a world of my own, and I lived very happily there. It was my way of escaping the reality and from people I was frustrated with.

So whoever you are, hello and thank you for visiting this little corner that I created to document and write about yet another very confusing phase of my life. I’m sure you’re a very person and I hope you have a wonderful day.

“And when the world comes crashing down, I’d like to write ALL about it”

Write me if you feel like at rosiedaohn@gmail.com

I’ve quit social media so although my old instagram and facebook may still be there, I don’t update them anymore.
